The MNYL discipline committee will review all disciplinary reports
received from the K.C.F.A.Ltd. throughout the season

Medway Council Consultation for the change of use of playing fields at Cornwallis
Avenue, Gillingham the present venue used by Rainham Eagles F.C.
The committee will support Rainham Eagles objection, apart from the
proposed pavilion, as the committee does feel that the proposed use will not support grass roots youth football.
Oak Athletic Informing the League they are seeking Charter Status. Oak Athletic are wished good luck and the
committee offer their advice and support should it be required.
4. CHAIRMAN’S REPORT
We are now entering a new football season and I would like to wish
everyone good luck in your forthcoming matches.
There are several new Club Secretaries this season and I would like you
to point out a few things to your Managers. Linespersons are there to assist
the referees not to coach, smoke, drink or speak on mobile telephones
when running the line. If a school has a non smoking policy
this may also mean the playing fields as well please check.
Secretaries please read the following rules 5d, 5h, 5i, 10v, 12t,
13a to q, 23d this may save your club from being fined.
Please enjoy your matches and let us have a trouble free season.
5. VICE CHAIRMAN’S REPORT
Nothing to report this month
6. SECRETARY’S REPORT
Wishing everyone a good season, old and new players, old and new club officials
and referees and all my fellow committee members who have worked their socks
off in the ‘closed season’. Special
thanks to Andy and Jim for arranging the fixtures, Sue for helping out with the
U/13s as well as her own age group, Ray for sorting the referees in a very
short time frame and Graham for managing the web pages again with little time
to do the job. I must also mention Sarah
who took the burden off me this year by
taking on the arduous task of the mini soccer registrations – believe me no
mean feat.
At last the paperwork is done and everything is in place for kick off
on the 9th. There are bound
to be teething problems and I hope clubs will work together to resolve
these. If you can
help by reversing a fixture (not U/16s & U/18s without reference to Ray
Kerr), it will be much appreciated.
As league secretary I expect my phone to go quiet when the fixtures
start which I’m sure all club secretaries will second. If you have everything organised it will pay
off.
I am working in liaison with John Wren, secretary of the MMSFL and
Medway Council and hope to meet with them shortly. Please let me know if you have any issues
regarding pitch hire from Medway Council.
Both Leagues have been asked to explore the possibility of block booking the
pitches from them with clubs being billed by the MNYL/MMSFL instead of
individual club bookings with the Council.
At the present time I have to work with the Council staff to check
bookings against MNYL applications to ensure suitable pitch sharing
arrangements.
It was good to see everyone at the secretaries meeting. Rainham 84 did not attend and they are fined
£20 in breach
of Rule 5h.
Secretaries are reminded of Rule 1m.. Mobile numbers will not be accepted for publication
although managers may wish to exchange them.
Chris
7. AGE GROUP SECRETARIES
ALL AGE GROUPS:
Some clubs have not indicated kick off times for their teams due to
pitch sharing issues. Please keep the
age group secretary informed of kick offs and also if you need to change the
time indicated. The same applies if you
agree to reverse a fixture. Committee
members will not be happy if they come out to watch a game and find it is
somewhere or sometime other than expected.
We accept that times given are subject to change but please keep us
informed.
Under 8, U/9, U/10 &
U/15s Fixture secretary
Please do not send me results cards.
They are all to go to Sarah as registration secretary.
I will deal with all aspects of the fixtures including non played
fixtures and postponement requests.
Jim
Under 8, U/9, U/10 &
U/15s Registration Secretary
Firstly I want to wish all the
teams in my age groups good luck for the coming season.
With regards to registrations a reminder that any registrations you send
through or drop off to me now must be accompanied by a stamped addressed envelope.
If you haven't received a registration card back from me and even if you think
you've sent it on time please do check either by phone or email before you allow the player to take
part in a game. I will try by best to get the cards back to you by the Sunday
but sometimes for whatever reason it is
not always possible.
Please managers take some time to read through your handbook most of the
answers to your questions can be found in there.
Have fun I'm gonna have a word with my poor postman
regarding how overworked he's gonna be once the games
start.
Sarah xx

I would like to say a big thank you to Sue for doing the registrations during July when I was unavailable. It was very much appreciated.

Secretary
Please keep me informed of your progress in the Kent Youth Cup. Good Luck to all the teams for the season.
Managers are reminded that they MUST use the new match record card in
place of the old style substitute card as names of the full team must be
provided to the referee.

8. TREASURER’S REPORT

9. REFEREES SECRETARY
Please see newsletter issued separately. No club referees form received from Rainham
84 despite reminder
fined £5 in breach of Rule 5h. This is
to be supplied within 7 days or a further fine of £10 will be levied.
We have been lucky with the number of referees registered with the league but there have been problems with some registrations at the County due to outstanding Child Protection courses and CRB checks.
Unfortunately, many clubs are not so lucky and there is a shortage of referees at club level, particularly in the mini-soccer.
Clubs are reminded that they must NOT appoint referees from the league list to their club games without reference to me. The correct procedure, if a referee is needed, is to ring me the Sunday before the game and leave me the details. I will then ring you before Wednesday with a referee, provided one is available.
League registered referees are also reminded that they must NOT accept appointments from clubs but must direct them to me to cover the appointments. This is to enable the maximum coverage of fixtures and give the referees maximum opportunity. Only I know the full picture of availability and games to be covered.
Again I must remind clubs that misconduct from parents and club officials on the touchline will not be tolerated. The County and the League will come down heavily on offenders.
10. RESULT SECRETARY/WEBMASTER’S REPORT
Nothing to report except to remind everyone that the deadline for
results is now
