Minutes of Committee Meeting held at Lordswood Leisure Centre on Wednesday, 4th June 2008 at 8.00 p.m..

 

1.   COMMITTEE:-

PRESENT:   Vic Williams (chairman), Vic Smith, Ian Ballard, Graham Adsett, Sarah Monk, Chris Carey, Jim Carey, Keith McCourt (K.C.F.A. rep)

APOLOGIES:  Sue Sandmann, Mark Sandmann, Michele Leadsham, Tina Loftus.

ABSENT:  Ray Swatton, Ray Kerr, Andy Bonneywell, Claire Blake.

 

2.   MINUTES OF THE LAST MEETING:-   (on 7th May 2008)

These were agreed to be a true and accurate record and were signed by the chairman.

There were no matters arising from the previous minutes.

 

3.   CORRESPONDENCE :-

K.C.F.A. Ltd.  League statement of players suspended 9/5/08, 16/5/08, 23/5/08.

K.C.F.A. Ltd. D1  discipline minutes 29/4/08, 30/4/08, 19/5/08 and committee minutes 28/4/08 and 14/5/08.

Real 60   note of thanks from 2007/08  U/16s for ‘the great time they had playing in the MNYL as they are not continuing next season.’

Co-op Sports  recording thanks to the MNYL committee for organising their cup final – twice!

Strood 87  thanks to MNYL committee and Pegasus 81 U/8s for the great time they had at the U/8 League Cup final.

Woodcoombe Youth  U/9s thank you for making their day special and for the hard work of the committee.

Kent Referees Association (Gravesend Branch)  Informing the MNYL their newly appointed League Liasion Officer is Mr Ian Mitchell.

K.C.F.A. Ltd.  Reminder of meeting on 23rd June for Youth Leagues ‘Respect in the Game Working Group’.  Also questionnaire from referee development officer.

Omega 92   Proposals for MNYL  AGM   As advised Rule 20b) refers.  Your suggestions will be held on file until the next A.G.M..

Anne Smith  note of thanks for the flowers she was sent.

Liz Cook  informing the committee that the Tuck Shop/Tea Bar run by Liz and Pete at the MNYL finals raised £2,106.25

The Committee record sincere thanks to the Cook family for the time and considerable efforts in organising and running the Tea Bar.  Your contribution is much appreciated by Committee and member clubs.

 

 

 

4.   CHAIRMAN’S REPORT

Cerebral Palsy Care only managed to attend one cup final collecting £126.55 for their cause.

 

5.   VICE – CHAIRMAN’S REPORT

nothing to report

 

6.   SECRETARY’S REPORT

The meeting with the K.C.F.A. due to take place on May 14th was cancelled since I last reported due to ‘lack of response’.  This will now take place on Monday, 23rd June and the agenda  is now to include referee development.  Vic, Mark, Ray Kerr and myself will attend and will report back next month.

On behalf of the committee it was really lovely to receive so many ‘thank yous’ after the finals. It is nice to be appreciated and so thanks to all concerned for taking the time to write in.  

The Medway Council pitch situation is still uncertain at some venues.  I will be working with the secretary of the Medway Messenger Sunday Football League and Medway Council to try resolve the issues and to confirm bookings as soon as  I can. 

 

7.   AGE GROUP SECRETARIES

 

U/11s 2008/09 postponement request from Swallows 14/9/08 due to school trip.  Agreed in accordance with Rule 12v. 

 

REGISTRATIONS FOR 2008/09 SEASON

There is no change to the registration form for 2008/09 season.  This form can be down loaded from the MNYL website www.mnyl.org.uk  in several formats and a Word copy will be sent to each club secretary with these minutes.

You should not send in any forms before 1st July 2008

Then Rule 8c) applies

Any registrations received by midnight 13th July 2008 will be charged at a reduced rate to be advised at the M.N.Y.L. A.G.M..

 

8.   TREASURER’S REPORT

The end of season accounts were presented to those present.  They have been sent to the membership and K.C.F.A..

13.   WELFARE OFFICER’S REPORT

The following clubs have not returned the Welfare Officers form with contact details by the deadline or responded in any way and are fined £10 (Rule 5h) as per e-mail dated 17/5/08.

The next M.N.Y.L. committee meeting will be on Wednesday, 2nd July 2008 at 8.00 p.m. at Lordswood Leisure Centre.
