Co-op Sports Letter supplied at request of M.N.Y.L. to U/11s parents. Thank you for sending out this letter. You have done all that could be reasonably expected in the circumstances.
Co-op Sports Letter from U/15 parent. The MNYL is aware of the incidents from referees reports and subsequent notice of suspension of several players, one being for 112 days.
Valley Colts indicating they wish to enter a second team in
the U/9s next season. The players names are supplied and all relevant
information. This team will be
recommended to the AGM, subject to constitutional constraints of numbers in an
age group.
Various The M.N.Y.L. is concerned that a number of clubs have highlighted an e-mail they were circulated by Rainham 84. The club have been advised that their suggestion to organise U/7s fixtures/tournaments would be beyond what the MNYL would normally expect of a club organising friendlies for their team. The MNYL would be obliged to report any such unaffiliated football to the K.C.F.A.. An apology has been received from the Rainham 84 club secretary.
Beausports Letter received informing the League that the club is unable to enter a team in the League 2008/09 season.
The M.N.Y.L. Committee appreciate your comments and wish your club every success in the future.
Real 60 for information –
copy of letter sent to Chatham Town F.C. regarding the transfer of their entire
U/8 team for next season.
Referee, Jon Hodges Report of the U/11D3 fixture Bredhurst Juniors Youth v Fulston Zebras. Jon reports of the ‘sportsmanship, commitment and bravery’ of both teams in a fixture played in cold, snowy conditions.
This report definitely made the
day of the MNYL committee and the two clubs are congratulated for their
determination to play the fixture whilst still having a great time by the sound
of things!
Guru Nanak Youth Note of thanks to MNYL committee for organising their cup final and thanking everyone at Fulston Zebras for a sporting game.
The MNYL committee present at
the U/16 League Cup thought this match was played in a most sporting manner by
both clubs and behaviour was exemplary.
4. CHAIRMAN’S REPORT
Once again my report centres
around Secretaries not passing on the reports
in the League Minutes, again I must point out that CLUBS are responsible
for their spectators. Please read and pass on the Cup Committees report the
League will not tolerate the behaviour that went on between Sheerness East
Youth and Riverview United U/18 both teams were a disgrace to their clubs.
5. VICE – CHAIRMAN’S REPORT
nothing to report
6. SECRETARY’S REPORT
Vic, Mark and I will be attending the K.C.F.A. meeting referred to in correspondence, on May 14th. Please keep reading our reports for feedback on any changes for next season.
The situation regarding Medway Council pitches is still unclear. An formal agreement was provided by the Council for the block booking of pitches but we suggested modifications to the agreement in consultation with the Medway Messenger Sunday Football League with whom a number of pitches are shared for use with our teams on Sundays. We await notice from the Council as to whether our new agreement is acceptable. I will keep you informed of progress.
I am aware that a number of
club secretaries will not be continuing next season. I have issued the application form for
2008/09 season to be returned by
Can you please ensure that any
new secretary has received the form.
7. AGE GROUP SECRETARIES
ALL MINI SOCCER MANAGERS SHOULD RECEIVE A SEPARATE E-MAIL FROM THEIR CLUB SECRETARY REGARDING CHANGES FOR NEXT SEASON.

Nothing to report apart from
wishing everyone a happy summer break and I've got me pen and stamp at the
ready for the onslaught of registrations at the start of next season.
Sarah xx
Under 8, U/9, U/10 & U/15 Fixture Secretary
I hope you have all enjoyed your season, especially that the players have enjoyed their football as this is why we are all involved.
Congratulations to all winners/runners up of all the above age groups and a big thank you from them, to all the other teams who played them and allowed them to obtain these positions! From my point of view as fixture secretary, I have tried to be consistent when applying the MNYL rulebook throughout the season and this I know had meant me having to make some decisions that may seem hard on occasions. Thank you to those on the receiving end of those decisions for accepting them without too much argument.
Under 11 Secretary
Just to remind managers that next season the U/12s are boys only teams back to a two year age band. I hope you have all enjoyed your first season of 11 a side football. It has been a case of mixed fortunes as you have regrouped and adapted to the new game.
Under 12 Secretary
Well done to everyone overall it has gone well this season – enjoy the break and see you all next season.
Under 13 Secretary
Nothing to report
Under 14 Secretary (also first mate and general dogsbody, Tea Bar at Cup Finals!)
Michele has nothing to report but the MNYL committee want to give her special thanks for slogging over a hot urn in the ‘Goldilocks’ tea bar every Sunday at our cup finals.
Under 16 Secretary
I would just like to say thanks to all the Under 16s managers for
bearing with me throughout this year especially with all the fixture
changes in a very long season. I hope you have a well deserved break and look
forward to seeing you all again as Under 18s

The M.N.Y.L. send
their thanks to clubs affected by these changes for their understanding and
patience.
We also put on record our total disgust at the
outburst at the end of the U/18 League Cup and embarrassment that our K.C.F.A.
representative, whilst trying to support members of the League committee who
were trying to restore order and remove spectators from the field of play, was
manhandled and had his shirt ripped by a spectator. The clubs involved are advised that a report
has been sent direct to the Chief Executive of the K.C.F.A. by their official
as well as the reports of the match officials.
Charges have also been issued by the League for this disgraceful act of
misconduct.
12. PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICER’S
REPORT
Nothing to report
13. WELFARE OFFICER’S REPORT
I would like to remind clubs they need to have a club welfare officer
for the 2008/2009 season who cannot be ‘just a name’. They must have attended a
workshop and be CRB checked . All clubs MUST send me those details by e-mail.
I will compile a list a.s.a.p. and chase up those who have not got one and
arrange a workshop for those who need it.
I require name,
address phone number, CRB disclosure number and date of issue and when your
club welfare officer attended workshop . This to be sent to
